Mosquito nets in Nigeria

To complement the bed nets distribution strategy of the federal government in eradicating malaria scourge from the country, American oil giant, ExxonMobil has commenced the distribution of 50, 000 long lasting insecticides treated mosquito nets in seven states of the federation.Benefiting states in the excise including free malaria medication and malaria education are Akwa Ibom, Lagos , Ondo, Cross River , Imo, Rivers and Delta States. The oil major has for the past 10 years sunk in over $50 million on the prevention of malaria in Africa and more than USD $1 million spent on the projects in Nigeria for the past two years.
