Vivax malaria in China
Plasmodium vivax is the predominant species in China, all the malaria areas have vivax transmission.
Only Yunnan and Hainan provinces have falciparum malaria transmission locally, even in these two provinces the proportion of vivax malaria is also up to 80%.
