Amarillo, TX - Tuberculosis cases in Amarillo have more than doubled over the past few years, and now the city is better prepared to deal with it.
City commissioners approved a $15,000 increase in funding at their meeting Tuesday afternoon.
That extra money will go towards employing a full time nurse dedicated to tuberculosis treatment and prevention.
Up until now, they had a part-time nurse doing the job.
