The funds will provide capital for PlumpyField members and other local manufacturers in afflicted countries to expand production and hire new employees. Nutriset is putting special focus on franchisees and members in four countries - Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Niger and Tanzania - where acute malnutrition is especially troubling.

"Nutriset's pledge to significantly increase our investment in our PlumpyField members will help them create local solutions to devastating food crises," said Nutriset CEO Adeline Lescanne. "We hope the $5.8 million will provide our partners with the tools they need to combat current famines."

Organizations that are providing funds for multiple nonprofit programs might find it easier to manage their large-scale efforts withfundraising management programs that can account for funds as they are disbursed to recipients.
