| Some 200 million young people aged between 15 and 24 years old in developing countries never finish primary school. One in eight of those are unemployed, according to a new report published by UNESCO - and just over a quarter of those who are lucky enough to find a job earn around two dollars a day. The UN calculates that for every dollar spent on a person's education, $10-$15 are generated in economic growth.
