MALNUTRITION: Angola

Luena – The nutrition expert Maria Futi Tati is concerned about malnutrition case that is daily recorded in hospitals of the eastern Moxico province.
Speaking to the press, Maria Futi Tati said that three to four cases of moderate and severe malnutrition are recorded daily during consultations within children aged six months and above.
Maria Futi Tati considered poverty as the main cause of malnutrition in the rural population, as well as bad eating habits.
Maria Futi Tati advised the population to consume natural products for being healthier and accessible because they are rich vitamin and calories.
